Ahead of the main Jogja Innovation Festival (JNOF) 2026 on 21–22 October, organizers are opening the festival with a pre-event online dialogue themed “Bringing Together University Innovation and Industry Needs.” The session, Dialog Pembuka Jogja Innovation Festival 2026, will be held on Thursday, 8 October 2026, 09.00–11.45 WIB, via Zoom.
The dialogue brings together three of Yogyakarta’s highest-profile institutional leaders: GKR Mangkubumi, Chair of KADIN D.I. Yogyakarta; Anindya Bakrie, Chairman of KADIN Indonesia; and Prof. Ova Emilia, Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada. Together they will open a conversation on how university-born innovation can be matched with real industry needs — the same mission driving JNOF 2026 itself.
Discussion will run across three sector clusters that mirror JNOF’s own focus areas: Food and Agriculture, Energy & Science, and Health and Pharma. Each cluster session is built around three threads: an introduction to relevant innovations, an industry-side discussion of current challenges, and an exploration of concrete collaboration opportunities between researchers, companies, and investors.
The pre-event dialogue sets the tone for the main festival, which brings innovators, industry, and investors together on 21–22 October 2026 at the Gelanggang Inovasi dan Kreativitas (GIK), Universitas Gadjah Mada, under the theme “Innovation to Growth.”
